My late husband Steve and I established Mad River Antiques in 2001, focusing primarily on 18th, 19th and early 20th C. Americana. Motivated by our love for antiques, we've gained a reputation for having a discriminating eye as well as the ability to seek out rare and unusual items to offer our
customers. Although we are drawn to a variety of objects and have an eclectic taste, particular favorites include stoneware, baskets and textiles.
For those who have wondered, the name of our business was borrowed from the brook that tumbles down through the woods on Steve's family's home in the southern Berkshires - a name that traces its roots back to the original 18th Century deeds.
